I have known Kevin Armstrong for over 20yrs and as much as I have enjoyed being around him and everything he has done for a lot of folks......he isn't exactly a saint either and some might take issue with him being a ref.

However once you get busted for a crime especially one as serious as domestic violence........(and everyone deserves a second chance unless you are a child molester).....that is it you get a second chance.....and he blew it.

I am sure the MTHS coach firing had a lot to do with it because if my daughter was on a team and the coach pushed/shoved/verbally abused her and I found out that the coach was a convicted felon.....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. As much as I hate RHS they made the right call on this one....too much of a liability.

You are wrong. My wife played for John Gross. My daughters play for John Gross. We knew of the situation from years ago, and have not been concerned about it. He threw hot water on his wife in a fit of rage during a domestice dispute 13 yrs ago. He paid the price and nothing he has ever done coaching since has given any indication that he is a liability.

You havent even lived around here for several years. There are many of us that know Kevin Armstrong also. If you mean all the good things he has done for young people. like having relations with a 15 yr old student while he was a janitor???? He should never be a ref..he also has a conviction. I am way more concerned with his past than I am a domestice violence charge....

Agreed.......I am glad you brought that situation up.....however him getting in an altercation over the summer isn't a legal concern for the school?

This is very sad what this world has come to. He paid his price 13 years ago and charges were dropped over the summer, technically the police had to make the arrest if the complaint was filed, it sounds like once things were sorted out there was nothing to the situation.

Why is a man who dated a 15 year old allowed to ref high school girls? Do you know this for a fact or just something twisted through the grape vine?

Fact...He was charged and convicted. You can search PJStar archives for the stories. I'm not sure how much dating there was
