Re: ICC Baseball
IMHO, 23-26 is a great number, especially if you've got a couple of pitchers who can also play a position and swing the bat. Breakdown could be kinda sorta like this;
Infielders -- 6
Outfielders -- 5
Pitchers -- 10-12
Catchers -- 3
IF there are two to three middle relief/spot starter pitchers who are also in that mix of infielders/outfielders, then the number could be reduced to 23.
Bear must be real happy with his "regulars" to keep the roster at 23.

Well it is a pretty good 23....as always is the case, probably eligibility knocked some out , so not entirely coaches decision.

ICC meet the team night/fundraiser was Sat night. Very well attended, great food and I think they raised a little money for the program. Coach Kelly likes the makeup of the team....and from where I sit, barring injuries to key players, I think they'll be in for a good season.

ICC sports (both men and women) are a hidden gem in the Peoria area. Games are very cheap and very entertaining. I'd like to see ICC spend more money marketing the games.

Where are the Cougars headed for their Spring Trip this year? Are they still going out west (Oklahoma or Arizona, maybe?)?

I feel a little more at liberty to talk about my kids a bit on here since this is MY board. I never talked about my kids on the PJStar board even though, they were/are pretty accomplished and I had the ability to delete anything I wanted to over there ( I was an admin for long time there). So I dont mean to bore anyone, but if they accomplish somethig noteworthy, I may just drop it in a conversation....I dont talk about them regularly,....................... other than to say they suck the life out of me.

I have no problem bragging on Beamer's kids. Never saw Adam play baseball. He was a hell of a football player though. Could have played QB, TB, WB, SE, and even FB if needed on O. Had a nice SR year at WB. All conf. DB that lead the area in INTs and very solid tackler.
