NCAA

Post  jim beam on 22nd March 2008, 20:57

I am sure its just me.........I am a pretty big sports fan and I used to really get into and enjoy March Madness. Amymore I just dont even have time to care. I watched my first game of the tourney today. WVU and Duke, actually only saw the second half. I now just turned on the MSU/Pitt game. I really dont care about any of these teams...I am getting old

I don't care about basketball much anymore either Beam, due to the fact I'm no longer a boy....all due respect to MJG... Basketball

The only reason I know who won any game is because its on a 15' screen at work. Other than that I was checking my Blackberry for NCAA Wrestling results...

Salz, I think its where we are in our respective lives. When I was newly married and had no kids, I was into alot of things that have gone by the wayside.

Of course. It takes a man to watch young men wrestle. Razz

I enjoy the sport of basketball. My contacts via basketball have gotten me 2 of the jobs I've held. I enyoy playing and competing. I keep up on the scores, especailly during the tournament. But I am FAR from the guy that is glued to the TV with nothing better to do, or that doesn't miss a certain team's games (no matter the sport). Fanatics, as adult men, are pathetic to me.

And I hope as you continue to grow with your wife and start a family, you just may change your mind/priorities. Although many don't.

MJG-the young men wrestling...

I (to an extent) agree with what your saying about 'fanatics', these are generally the guys who can't figure out that their wife is off doinking the next door neighbor. Not you salz, at least for your sake I hope not.

With the Big Ten Network screwing me all year, and Illinois not playing, I rarely watch the tournament.

What the hell do I care if the old lady is doinking the neighbor as long as I'm able to go watch whatever sporting event it is I want to see? She's happy, I'm happy. Sounds reasonable to me. Cool
