He didn't develop (mostly grow) into the player they originally thought/hoped.

I think when he was younger he was predicted to end up around 7 feet tall. That was when he was getting all of the attention from the huge schools. As that failed to materialize, so did the offers. He is going to be a fantastic player for BU.
