Baseball begins today!

..Day number 1 of the 2009 season. let's hear some expectations/scouting reports

I have only one prediction, everyone will be outside on Thursday!! I hope it's as nice as the forecast looks like...

rocky has been out since tuesday..of course they are on the turf football field but it counts! spring is here!

I'm very jealous of that!! Our field was probably playable for a game today... Still a LOT of moisture in it as water was coming up when I was hitting grounders and it was spongey... Still, I can't complain about a 70 degree day the first week of MARCH!!

it's awesome to just be able to throw over 100 feet in playing catch! having the turf sure beats the days of taking infield in the parking lot BUT midwestern baseballers are nothing if not creative. they will play anywhere, anyhow in the spring!
warm(60) but raining hard (since saturday) the team may miss their first practice of the year due to weather, basketball practice and hosting the sectional. hopefullt it stops long enough to go out again. they have been out since last tuesday, of course they play in 13 days...
