ICC mostly. If we need night games, we may have to borrow a high-school field or two.

For example, on both teams, we still need some pitching. So I've spent the past month identifying possible players and extending them invitations to come in and work out for us. In the future, we'll probably see a little more of that, just so we know what we have to work with rather than just being surprised at a tryout in September/October.

As far as Peoria kids go, I had a post when this forum first opened about baseball's lack of popularity in Peoria proper. I can't find it now, but the basic gist was basketball is the game of choice in Peoria proper.

I dont think I pulled any of your posts....At any rate this is shaping up to be a heck of a tournament.

JB any word where Alex Guttierrez is playing this summer? I heard the reason he wasn't playing football was to focus on baseball, did he even tryout for the outlaws? Either way goodluck to those who are playing this summer and maybe i'll get a chance to catch a game this year.

He did get a tryout, a private tryout because I believe he had a conflict during the open tryouts. The tryouts were in OCtober and he is a class year younger than the other players and 2 in a couple cases.......At the time he hadnt played a game of HS baseball yet.........Looking back at all the players, he might be better than a couple of kids that didnt get much varsity PT...I dont know. I personally have seen him play a few times and he's a nice player, going to be a really good player.

Oh and the Outlaws play thier home games at ICC. They are hosting a tournament the last weekend in June called "the Best of the Midwest" at the 16u and 18u level. Both fields are loaded with teams and good players. check out the Outlaw website (link early in this discussion) for the list of teams etc....Those games will be at ICC/Washington HS/Richwoods/Eastside
