New Baseball season is on the horizon....
I know this is a little early, but there is officially 3 weeks (on monday) till the beginning of the new baseball season.... AND IT WAS ALMOST 60 TODAY!!! Gotta love it. I just wish that the temps weren't gonna be dropping back down. Let's play ball!!

Any predictions for the season?

Thanks for the welcome. Wish more people were on here now. It really frustrates me that the pjstar waits so long to put up the new sport chat rooms. Hopefully, we get to talking about it soon!!

Personally I think Richwoods is gonna be one of the top teams in the area, with JB's son leading the way. They should have no problem taking the MS6.
As for the MI, I think Limestone will be tough with good pitchers in Mehn, Arnett, and Schwindenhammer. Morton will probably finish 2nd in the conference with some pitching contributions from Fr. Will Headean. He is gonna be a ton some day if he stays healthy. Lefty that throws hard and has a good hook.
I am actually looking forward to going to watch some of the underclass teams. From coaching this summer and wood bat, I can tell you that this freshman class is loaded with talent. At EP we have 4 very good freshman, Morton has 6, Washington has 4, Pekin has 2, and Dunlap has 2. All these guys could be playing sophomore and I am sure a # of them will see some time on their varsity teams.

Coach, in defense of the PJStar, its pretty hard to moderate all those forums at one time when they rely on only a handfull of volunteer mods. So they have to wait for seasons to end to fire up the next season....
Regarding this season, I still cant think about it right now. Need to see how the kid comes off of the surgery. He is still not cleared to swing a bat.

Definitely agree about the lack of moderators... Just frustrating because I love hearing talk about baseball lol.
