Richwoods Regional

I was on the PJstar site last night and "the Game" was talking about JB calling people names on this site regarding this issue. I looked through this whole discussion and I dont see that. Its gone now over there but that guy must either be Stoneback or have a kid on the team, because he doesnt get it

I believe The Game is a kid from limestone...and JB wasn't bad. All he said is the head coach's name at Woodruff which is common knowledge.

Oh I forgot to post the scores......Galesburg beat PND 8-6 and Richwoods handled Woodruff 9-1

Regional Championship is slated for tomorrow between Galesburg and Richwoods.

I am very tempted to drive down tomorrow for this game.

I think richwoods walks through it. they would have to play very,very badly again to drop this

OK, Richwoods wins the Regional. Galesburg played well. They can hit, but they dont make alot of plays. Soph Peter Cunningham got the start in the championship game and pitched very well. He struck out 6 and walked 1, gave up 4 hits and an earned run through 5. He gave way to Andy Lueten to start the 6th with RW up 3-2......in line for the win. Andy was wild and gave up the tying run in the 6th thus taking away any decision from PC. Lueten went into the 7th and Gburg did not score. In the top of the 8th RW manufactued a run on a nubber that Hunter couldnt field, a WP, a stolen base and a bad throw to 3rd on the steal. Ben Hogan came in and put it away in the 8th....so Lueten comes in, gives up the lead and still the picher of record when they geclaim the lead, thus getting win after walking 4 batters in an inning.....thats baseball.

What isnt baseball is the Galesburg players and fans being total thugs. At least 3 Gburg fans were ejected from the game as was a coach. The Galesburg players yell and chirp the entire game like some bush league amatuers. Arnie seems like a pretty good baseball guy to me, but I cant understand how he allows that nonsense. After the game their guys were going through the line and bumping the RW players, telling them to burn in hell, and calling them out to fight. Just classless.

What also isnt baseball is the way Woodruff coach Stoneback treated this Regional. Very satisfying for this RW fan to see RW stick it up their ass. Good riddance to Stoney

they are pretty classless..unfortunately their pitching coach leads the way, just rude. there really is no place in baseball for an adult to heckle high school kids in a baseball game.
I have never seen a worse team talk more junk in my life. It's one thing when hunter pitches but the rest of the staff is poor. we pounded them twice and shoulda/coulda have beat hunter. this does not surprise me at all

And Arnie seems like a pretty good basbeall guy, how can he allow that nonsense. It also appears its only a couple of the players that are into the thuggery..

Have you been to a Limestone game in the last 2 or 3 years? Especially this year. They talk more trash than I have ever seen for a high school team and on parent even made the comment "It is high school baseball, the kids are allowed to talk trash".

Please review previous posts about how he voted in the Regional......I wonder if these issues will be taken up by the sole Dist 150 AD next year?
