Boys and Girls Regional

Both the boys and girls Regionals are to be held at woody high this year I will do my best to give nightly updates. Please post if there are any games of major interest. I'll be the guy raising the hoops at the end of the game so no one continues to try and play while we clean up.

Richwoods beat Central 56-36 and Metamora beat Woody 46-43. Central only had 7 points at half. Woody had a bad start to the third and ran otta time, credit also goes to a hard fought Meta girls team who played strong for four quarters, great game to watch. Championship is friday night between Meta and RhS at Woody.

Sorry but I forgot to ask everyone playing how old they were.

I'll be the first to say it. Girl's these days sure look a lot older than they really are. 15, 16, 17 years old but could pass for much older easily. Some of these 7th & 8th graders too.

Weird, these two teams played their 1st game of the season against each other and for one it will be their last.

Even though the Lady Birds' are ranked in the STATE poll one higher, I think the Woodruff seeds are more accurate and the Lady Birds' are the slight underdog in this one. RHS is tough fo' sure.

In front of a packed house at Woody high Richwoods dominated Metamora for the girls Regional title. Metamora girls played alot harder than the score will show, and RHS may have a chance at a state title.

I was shocked when I saw the score on the news last night. Great job by the Lady Knights.

I'd be interested in updates from the Metamora loss game tonight Celtic.

Don't be so sure about a loss. I was at the first meeting and it wasn't that bad considering half the team had just won a state championship 3 days prior. I should have them by 10:30 - 11 at the latest.

Unfortunately, with the information I received around 7:15 pm, a Birds' win is not likely.

Without Terbush the birds led 23-7 at the start of the second. At the start of the fourth the warrior came within 11 and won by a final of 70-69. Freshman Dorsey scored 25 infront of Illini Coach Bruce Weber, who taked to the warriors in the lockerroom after the game. Central Woody tommorrow night 7:30 @ Woody(wheather permitting)

Ineligible. With him, who knows, Birds' just might pull that one out.
