PJStar pickems

Post  jim beam on 15th October 2009, 07:29

I just saw where a couple of you guys have picked woody over rw.

I understand loyalty and I understand I4 has a deep rooted disdain for Richwoods, so I get that a coahces brother and former coach would pick them and that I4 pick them in a little contest

But may I ask, would you lay money down on that pick......... do you really think there is any way possible that Woodruff wins this game?

Look me up, I dont think weve met...Ive met your brother a couple times....I like standing next to him, it makes me feel skinny

There is always a possibility, but I don't think it will happen friday night. Woody is without to many key players and have had to deal with way too much adversity this year. They are a young team, all offensive starters are juniors.

I will definately try to find you, where do you usually sit? I'm not hard to find, look alot like brother only slightly smaller.

I actually had an interesting conversation @ the shamrock the other night. I had 2 washington guys say that if Meta or Washington played either Richwoods or QND that they would win be atleast 30+ points. You would not believe how they refused to listen to the facts. S o to get them really firedup I told them that a healthy Woodruff team with BUrch in the line-up would beat both Metamora and Washington, it was hilarious to watch them come unglued.

I always sit at the 50 yrd line pretty high up, but at haltime I always go down by the pass gate for a smoke. Im about 6'2" 280....goatee...

I really never get into those thyps of discussions about could so and so beat this team etc etc.....For bad teams its pretty easy but for good teams theres just no way to know. My sons are lawyas talkking about how the 05 RW team would beat the 09 team or the 06 team etc etc....Its fun but futile. For adults from different programs it can get dicey.

$ on the game.....no way do I pick Woodruff.

What is tough about Woody Manual Centrel is that if they get up for a a game.....and stay up....watch out. 9x out of 10 if you stand toe to toe with them and give them consistent opposition....game over.

Argue all you want it has been that way for as long as I can remember.

Agree 100% Irish..... Not so much with Woody anymore (Coach Thornton has done a helluva job with them) but with Manual and Central, they have athletes and if they would just not make the same mistakes over and over again, they would compete. But, once they make that first mistake, they are done (usually).

If they would have played the 2nd half against PND the way they played the 2nd quarter......they would have won that game by a wide margin. I think that Timmy & Co. (2 former PND teammates on staff-traitors) have done a great job, but that is one habit that came back to do them in against PND.
