Pontiac Tournament

Richwoods is in the Pontiac Tournament this year instead of Galesburg. Who else besides Pontiac is in that ? I haven't seen a tournament schedule yet, all I know it is 11/15 thru 11/20 according to the season schedule. I wonder if they are really playing all those days.

Ha! Very true. If I am so fortunate as to get something I'll let you know. I'm kinda glad not to be going back to Gburg after last year, but I wonder how competitive this Pontiac thing will be. Gburg always had some non-conference teams that RW ended up meeting in the regionals or sectionals.

11/16 Tues 6:00 Richwoods vs Ottawa
11/18 Thurs 4:30 Streator vs Richwoods
11/19 Fri no game scheduled

Then Saturday is the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th place games.

1st Place Game 2:30PM
3rd Place Game 1:00PM
5th Place Game 11:30AM
7th Place Game 10:00AM

Well after the g.w scrimmage I knew nothing.

After tonights win against a poor JCA team, I know nothing.

I suspect RW will be OK, but they have alot to work on. They will take some lumps this yearm but any time you have Mariah Smith on your team, you have a chance

I really wanted to start the " Just like...... Foot ball" chant. Its one of my favorite chants from our student body of all time..It seems to be reserved though for PND.

I am surprised the PJStar picked up on the fact that the Lady Kinghts were playing JCA just 2 days after the football team knocked them off

FYI, if you were thinking about blowing off a trip to Pontiac, Thursday will probably be one you could miss. Streator lost by 40 to Ottawa. Richwoods just beat Ottawa by 19. I stayed to watch Streator warm up and they were shooting about 50% during layups. Not one kid could use their left hand.

Yes, I plan to miss that one....the FB game isnt looking good though for Sat. I hear the bball game is at 1030

Who are they playing Saturday? I can't believe Pontiac and that school wouldn't make some kind of concession to allow the ladies and other fans to go to the football game if they wanted to. I guarantee if Pontiac was still playing and a conflict arose, adjustments would be made.

Actually I think they have, they are letting us play in the earliest scheduled game, which requires others to make adjustments....but the distance from Pontiac to Chatham makes it hard no mater when the girls played

Ya, the team I am guessing they will play, Morgan Park has an hour and a half drive to get there. You really can't play a whole lot earlier. I know some of the girls think they are going to go. They will have to have a note from the parents releasing them specifically to whoever they are riding to the game with.

By the way, I went 74 to 55 and made it there in less time than 24/116. When we drove back Monday night, another family followed us (good thing you didn't) and got pulled over by some local cops along the way so I decided to go interstate. As long as I don't look at a map and see how much out of the way it is I am OK.

If the game is at 1030am....There is no way to get to Chatam by 1pm....would be a stretch to get there by the start of the 2nd Q.....I am figuring on not going...no real big deal 4 me, but too bad the kids are going to have to miss the game. Im just not going to drive an hour and a half to see a half football game and then drive another hour and a half home.

Regarding the 74 route....Its about 15 more miles. I thought about it.On saturday there will be less traffic so the IL routes should be a little better
